I got a call from one of the leaders, Piper, and asked if I could scrap with them on a Tuesday night. I was so excited and said, "yes, of course". Matt helped me pack up my suitcase of scrap materials (all along he knew what was going on). When I got there Piper greeted me and helped me with the suitcase. We walked in the door and I heard people yelling, "SURPRISE!!" and then balloons were thrown at my direction. I was in shock!! It was so touching to see the girls and other ladies from church there to celebrate our new baby. They decorated the room in pink and purple and had a wonderful spread of delicious food. They had me sit on the nice rocking chair and had tons of presents to open. We also played games which were all conducted by the young women. They did a fabulous job, and the games were so much fun.
A bunch of ladies pitched in and purchased the stroller/infant seat combo. I was so happy. They were checking it out for me and showing me how to do this and that.
We also had a delicious cake made by one of the girls, from scratch (no box)!! It was so yummy, and Piper used her cake decorating skills and made it look like it came out of a Martha Stewart magazine. It was amazing.
I had such a great time and I felt very loved. It still makes me smile when I think of that night. That was a great surprise party!!
"SURPRISE!!!!" Walking in the room.
Lori, me and Piper. I'm still in shock. Look how big that belly is (33 weeks)!!
Our baby girl has a lot of clothes!!

How fun! Don't you just love being pregnant! Well, except for the swollen feet, exploding belly, sore back ... you get the idea =). And you may feel huge, but for 33 weeks you still look plenty tiny.
You look so beautiful!! I loved teaching the YW! The best calling ever! I can't wait to see baby Mayry!
