Partying in New York

My niece, Skye, was having a sweet sixteen party. The kids and I were able to celebrate. My sister Serene, "The Super Nanny", flew with me and the kids. She was a big help! We took a red eye to Albany, New York, and Isaac and Aleena slept the entire trip. We had so much fun while we were there! My brother and his daughter flew out from Colorado and my dad flew out a few weeks earlier from California. We had fun visiting and seeing Albany, a city I'd never seen in New York. We ate lots of ice cream and had a turkey dinner. I tried to make gravy and did it all wrong. Luckily my brother, a chef, walked right in and saved the day, after getting off an airplane. We partied a lot. A sweet sixteen party and a surprise 40th birthday party for my sister, Trina.

Skye and her cousin Alicia. Alicia drove four hours from Long Island for the party.

The kids and I all dressed up for the party. Aunt Trina picked out the outfits. She has great taste and finds the best deals!!
