My Mom loving every minute. It's so cute how Aleena loved sitting on her lap with Isaac and wanted to hold him too.
Matt got the chance to work in Phoenix with his company for a month on a Honeywell project. I packed the kids up and went to my parent's for the first two weeks. It was nice to be with them. They helped out a lot. A few times my mom stayed up with Isaac all night so I could sleep. I only came down to feed him and she dealt with his fussiness and then he would finally sleep. Since I enjoy cooking and had spare time I cooked a lot of meals. It was fun trying out new recipes on my "guinea pigs". I also became a "TV Zombie". I don't really watch any TV at my house, but being at my parent's with their satellite, I could watch Food Network all day. One early morning feeding I even watch Housewives of Orange County. I couldn't change the channel. It was an awful show of rich, crazy, demanding "supposed" housewives. I wish those ladies could see how this OC housewife is and how hard I actually work with a little budget :) I won't be watching that again, but it's crazy how addicting TV can be. I do get inspired by Food Network though. I love Barefoot Contessa. Ina Garten always has something yummy to try, and her recipes never fail me.
Besides TV and Baby Einstein (Aleena's favorite) we got to play at the park a few times. I hadn't taken Aleena since before I got big with pregnancy. It was fun sliding down the big slide with her and seeing her explore and make new friends. My mom sat down with her broken foot in the shade and held Isaac while he slept. It was fun. I even saw a friend from high school there with her three kids. She was a freshman when I was a senior and sang in the choir together. I can't believe she has THREE! She's a good mom though and her kids are adorable!
One night my sister came out for a visit. It was the night Aleena woke up with a fever. I had two crying kids, one with a fever and one who was hungry. Poor Serene didn't get much sleep, but she was so good with taking care of Aleena. I love my sister. She's going to be a great mommy one day.
Thank you Mom and Dad for letting us stay at your place!! We love you.
