We are having a......

GIRL!!! We had our ultrasound today, and the radiologist was very nice. I was told by my doctor that they may not talk at all and will only tell me what gender it is. So I was expecting a very cold, robotic-type person. Instead, she was talking to me the whole time and telling me what the baby was doing and even said our baby was "stubborn". I replied, "Just like its father". Matt agreed and said, "I should've known".

The baby was stubborn, because she wouldn't cooperate and give the positions the radiologist needed to record. The radiologist tried to get her to move by poking her and shaking her, but she would not. She stayed in the same position. I was so thankful that I was allowed to go to the restroom to relieve some of the 32 oz. of water I had to drink beforehand. It was not fun being poked and prodded with a full bladder.

The baby was tightly snuggled up, with her legs and feet up by her face. She kept yawning. The radiologist said, "I must be boring her." Matt and I got to see her yawn a few times as well. It was very cute. I was surprised that Matt and I could point out where the head, feet and heart was. I thought it'd be much more difficult to see.

Now we will have to think of girl names.

Aly and I have a long list (Pemi, Turkey Sub, etc.) if you need any help. Congrats!

As I recall, I went into a pregnancy hormone-induced rage (no joke) at the suggestion of Turkey Sub as a name, so I can safely say that is not my list of names. Now that we've cleared that up, congrats indeed! I hope you have some free dresser drawers because we have a baby girl wardrobe just waiting for you.

i thought you were suggesting we have dresser drawers because they are cheaper than a crib.
