Shooting

Matt is from Virginia, and he grew up shooting guns. You can practically shoot anywhere you'd like without any neighbors blinking an eye or calling 911. In California, if you hear a gun shot, you may think it's a drive-by.

We rounded up some friends and family to take them shooting in Palm Springs. One of the few places where there isn't a shooting range. You can bring all your old 2 liter bottles filled with water, old computer moniters, aluminum cans or anything you'd like to shoot up. Matt brought his guns as well as my soon-to-be-brother-in-law, Stu (who grew up in Idaho, where shooting guns is not a problem either). My sister, Lillie, and myself have been with Matt once before, but the rest of the group were in for a surprise.

It was really windy which made it hard to shoot at the clay pigeons, or even at a bottle. That was my excuse anyhow.

We all had fun though. Except for maybe the friend who never shot a gun before, (and is applying to be in the police department) because he kept getting out shot by my sisters.

I'm sure our kids will grow up shooting guns too. I have nothing against guns, as long as they are used correctly.

Serene and Stu are getting married? That's so exciting! When's the big day?
