Aleena's Third Birthday Bash

Aleena's third birthday was filled with a lot of celebrating for two whole weeks. She had her best friend, Sophia, to celebrate both of their birthdays at Disneyland. Then we kept on celebrating. I was relieved from not throwing a huge party. This was much more fun.

Aleena's birthday cake request was quite detailed, "Pink cake, with polka dots, and a Minnie Mouse toy." I made a chocolate cake with strawberry filling and luckily found these Minnie Mouse figurines. I seriously spent way too much time trying to find the right color, size and price for these Minnies. Of course the last place I looked, it was right down the street. Figures. Aleena loved it and that's all that matters.

Her birthday dinner was pepperoni pizza. I made them the shape of Minnie.

Singing to Sophia and Leena. Each took a turn in blowing our their three candles.

Getting ready to go to bed.

Having a hard time sleeping. Too much excitement for Disneyland. What's a slumber party without little sleep??

Minnie mouse-blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

Meeting some princesses was a highlight.

Our favorite Twin family...the Lees.

Having fun on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Birthday Celebration part 2: Aleena's actual birthday

Another cake to blow out candles. Her favorite part about birthdays.

Opening up presents from Uncle Roman. New shades and a sun hat.

Giving Uncle Roman a hug. He celebrated Aleena's birthday with us.

Birthday Celebration Part 3: Birthday Date with Mom

I took Aleena to get her hair trimmed by her one and only stylist, Corinne, at Toni and Guy. Corinne's been cutting Aleena's hair since she was a baby and had a horrible fauxhawk. She loved sitting in the chair and getting pampered. Everyone thought she was so cute.

Then I took her to see Tangled. She loved eating popcorn and drinking soda. I loved the one-on-one time with Aleena. She is a sweet, loving daughter and I am proud to be her mommy.

I needed to see this today. I am feeling like a terrible mommy because all I ever have time to do is ride my kids about getting homework and cleaning done. Then we have dinner and they go to bed. That is our day. Thank you for showing me how much fun they truly can be!

Piper! You are definitely not a terrible mommy!! You take your kids on road trips so they can experience the world! You take them on fun bike ride adventures, the spinning park, and so much more! The in between time/everyday life is normal. That's what makes the fun stuff much more memorable! Love you!
