Our Road Trip to Utah

Matt had been wanting to go on a road trip lately. You'd think with all the traveling we did during the Summer would've been enough. He was in luck when my best friend, Rachel, decided to get married in Utah! Matt hadn't been back for about 4 years. He made a list of all the things he wanted to do or rather "eat". My goal was to see as many friends/family we could in four days.


We left at 5 am. This little girl slept only ONE HOUR! Making our trip very LONG.


We finally made it to my cousin Natalie's house. Above is her cute dog, Lewis, in his sweater. He loved Aleena and Aleena loved him.


Scott, Natalie, Matt, Aleena, Lewis and me. My Aunt Trudy and Wally were in from Washington and we got to visit with them as well. We had a delicious dinner and loved catching up and learning about my Aunt's quilting. She's so good!

One of the top priorities was to hang out with Lillie. I'm so glad she transferred to BYU Provo from Hawaii. We can see her more often now. Serene flew in on Friday and we all went to Cafe Rio for lunch. We all had the salad! So good. And even better we saw Elder Holland eating. He was super nice and shook everyone's hand. What a wonderful apostle.

We stopped at the Provo Temple to take some pictures since it was a beautiful day.

This was taken on our way back home. We met up with Matt's friend and mission companion, Ryan Sheffer. He and his family were about to go to church. Aleena had fun running around with their kids for a few minutes. She even learned how to say "cheese" from their kids.

We had a great trip. Exhausting, but fun. So grateful to Natalie and Scott, and Triston who allowed us to crash their places. I would love to go back to visit the people we missed. Not sure if I can do it with two kids. Sounds tiring already.
