2 Months Old

The month flew by so fast. Aleena had developed so much too. We went to her 2 month appointment and she now weighs 11 lbs. and 10 oz. and is 23 inches long. She is my little butterball turkey. It's been at least 3 weeks since she's outgrown her newborn outfits and has started wearing her 0-3 and 3 month outfits. I had to put away all her cute newborn clothes. It made me a little sad, but I am happy she is growing and is healthy. I was kind of dreading the appointment because of the shots and seeing her cry, but she did very well. She cried a little bit and calmed down soon after. She wasn't very fussy that night either. The Tylenol may have helped a lot. At the appointment she was showing off her mini push-up skills for the dr. and the dr. was impressed. I really love her pediatrician, and I am so glad she loves my little Aleena too! She even answers all my crazy questions and puts me at ease and doesn't make me feel like a crazy new mom. She is great!

Another milestone: Aleena started smiling last week. It made me cry when she smiled at me for the first time. It was so precious, and it made me feel like she actually loved me. At first I thought it was gas, but her eyes showed it all. Then her daddy came home and she smiled for him too. It's so hard to get her real smile on camera. The smiles I do have are just small ones. I love how the big smiles brightens up her face. We even think she is trying to laugh. She has these cute little sqeaks going on with her smiles. It's so funny.

A Little Smile

She is starting to love her baths. She loves the warm water and relaxes and smiles a lot too. She is too cute. It's so much nicer giving her a bath without her squirming and screaming. I love it.

So this past month she is doing well, and letting me sleep a lot longer at night. Yay! She is also getting a little bit more used to her car seat and won't cry as much. I can't wait for what this month will bring.
